Although it's counterintuitive to use beechwood in wet applications, I use my Hydrea Body Brush as a shower brush. It partners perfectly with Bend Soap Co. Goat Milk Soap for maximum lather. Plastic loofahs fall apart quickly, harm the environment, and shed microplastics. Other than a small split in the wood (that hasn't gotten any bigger), I am still using the same brush for almost a year rather than churning through loofahs every month.

 

Whether you use it for dry body brushing or in the shower, the Cactus Bristle Hydrea Body Brush will feel unbearably scratchy at first. Be patient and trust that the bristles do soften with use.
