Bloop Laundry Soap Review

In This Review:
Transformed My Laundry
UNADULTERED SOFTNESS
Linens, towels, and clothing are softer and cleaner than ever. Before using Bloop, all of my laundry felt like it had a waxy, unnatural coating. That stiff texture and strange coating is gone. I was able to drop fabric softener and dryer sheets all together.
Top Performing Natural Laundry Soap
NOT JUST A PRETTY FACE
I am extremely particular about cleanliness. I do not stress whether or not Bloop is getting my laundry clean. It gives great suds and has gentle, but effective, cleaning agents like coco glucoside, decyl glucoside, potassium cocoate, and sodium bicarbonate. Dirt and stains are lifted and color stays. A real problem with other natural brands was that they stripped the color from my garments, especially cotton and cotton blends. Not only does Bloop smell like a winner, but it also cleans like a winner.
A CLOSER LOOK
Bloop uses food-grade polysorbate. I confirmed with the founder that it is 1,4-dioxane-free which is outstanding. Also, when 'fragrance' is listed as an ingredient, it calls for pause. For Bloop, their 'fragrance' comes from all-natural fragrance oils. Care Free is their fragrance-free option if this is a concern for you (add your own favorite essential oils). For the purpose of a fully candid review, my preference is that high-quality, organic or pure essential oils are used for fragrance, however, Bloop Laundry Soap still sits well above other natural laundry detergents. It especially outshines conventional laundry detergents without any tradeoff in performance. It actually performs better. To button it up, Bloop ranks as the best performer and is my number one laundry soap.
Unique Scents That Set Bloop Apart from Natural Brands
BEST SCENTS vs ALL BRANDS
Yes Bloop! They nailed it in this department. Bloop offers the most unique and beautiful scents when it comes to natural laundry soap.
STONE FRUIT: Apricot, Peach, Plum, & Notes of Brown Sugar
It's like walking barefoot through a peach orchard on a warm sunny day. It's the best scent in the Bloop line for sure, but the downside is that this scent doesn't linger as much I as I would like after a few days.
SALT AIR: Mandarin Orange, Sea Water, Clary Sage, & Driftwood
Pays homage to a sophisticated coastal soiree at sunset. Crisp. Fresh. Delightful. Perfect potency and staying power.
SUPER BLOOM: Passionfruit, Peony, & Notes of Vanilla Orchid
Gives that laying back in a field of flowers, looking at the clouds feeling. A sonic boom of floral. The strongest of all the Bloop scents and most staying power of all the scents. It's a little strong for me, but I still enjoy it in the rotation. I can only use this scent on clothing, not towels or bed linens.
CARE FREE: Unscented
If you prefer fragrance-free, Bloop offers this unscented option.
Trustworthy on Colors
COLOR SAFE
Bloop Laundry Soap is super gentle on colors and fabrics. After a year of using Bloop, I have no concern with fading or degradation of fibers in garments or linens. Fabrics feel virgin and extra soft. Colors remain vibrant, even when washing in hot water (I know I shouldn't, but germs y'all).
Cost: It All Comes Out in the Wash
FAREWELL FABRIC SOFTENER & DRYER SHEETS
In the grand scheme of natural laundry soaps, Bloop is pretty comparable in price. You'll average about $0.63/load with the variety 4-pack. It's a concentrated formula, so you need to look at more than price per fluid ounce. Most mainstream detergents are full of water (the most prevalent ingredient). Bloop cartons, not samples, come with a measuring cup. Trust the dosage... you really do only need that little. Like watching animals at the zoo, I studied the wash cycles to see the suds and finally convinced myself, that's really all I need. Bloop offers free shipping on all orders over $45, earning them brownie points on their already superstar review. Additionally, the cost of going non-toxic with Bloop is offset by the money you save from not purchasing jugs of toxic fabric softener and boxes of microplastic-filled dryer sheets.
AT THE LAUNDROMAT
If you wash your laundry at the laundromat, you're spending around $2.00-$5.00 to wash one load (not incl. drying). Bloop will bring that cost down since you'll no longer need fabric softener and dryer sheets. There's no static in my laundry and absolutely no reason to buy these toxic extras. Going with Bloop cuts out taking multiple bottles/boxes to the laundromat or buying them at a higher price from vending machines. Bloop is a concentrated formula and comes in an easy to carry/easy pour carton with screw lid.

Bloop Sustainable Ingredients
Bloop is watershed safe and cruelty-free. Their ingredients and fragrance oils are all-natural and specifically selected to be gentle on marine life. Bloop is a 1% for the Planet Member. They are also proudly vegan and do not use any animal-derived ingredients. You will not find SLS, phthalates, phosphate, or chlorine in their laundry soap. It's formulated to be safe for you and the environment.
Bloop Sustainable Packaging
Bloop Laundry Soap comes in lightweight cardboard containers, recyclable in most municipalities, and small glass jars (sample size). The cartons are 32oz and the samples are 4oz. Leave it to your washing machine to bring water to the party. This is a concentrated formula, so larger packaging is not required, doing the environment another solid. Kindly recycle, please.
Laundry Detergent Containers Are Not Eco-Friendly
The U.S. discards an estimated 700 million to 900 million laundry containers per year. On average, only 30% of this eye-popping number will be recycled. This is just the U.S., alone, in one year. Typical mainstream laundry detergent jugs are HDPE (high-density polyethylene), and their footprint is massive when it comes to plastic pollution. These wonky things can take up to 1,000 years to biodegrade. Chilling.... thankfully, we have blankets and Bloop to wash them. Let's be more mindful.
Please check out my Toxins in Laundry Detergent post if you are apprehensive about going non-toxic. Conventional laundry detergents do not deserve the trust we've placed in them for so many years. Non-toxic laundry soaps get your laundry clean, safely.
* I use an LG front load washing machine and have a whole home water softener.
